Technology Should be intergrated into the classroom!

The question, "Should technology be integrated in the classroom" remains for debate and is still unanswered. Technology should be integrated into school because it ultimately prepares them for the real world. Collins and Halverson (2009) states on p.9, New technologies are transforming every aspect of work..." This supports the fact that if technology is not integrated technology into school, students will be unprepared for the future and the work force! I believe that is more than enough of an incentive to integrate technology in schools.

  1. Does technology really prepare you for the real world? Read Robert Fulgham's quote from Collins and Halverson (2009) "Share everything, play fair, don't hit people, put things back where you found them, clean up after your own mess, wash your hands before you eat and, of course, flush...These are all things children will never learn from computers" (pg. 40). Think of all of the lessons you had to learn from a person, that a computer cannot help you with!

  3. I do agree with yo to an extent, how ever whay can't children learn about things such as clean up your mess or showing good manner ect. through technology? I have seen plenty televison programs that can also be viewed online that actually teach valuable lessons like good behavior and cleaning up after your self. View a link below displaying a kids show that is viewable online. The song teaches a great lesson that states, "you can't always get what you want."
